Is there a place to find out about quilt shows in my area. I would love to attend one and see some of the beautiful work. I don't know where to begin to look. I live in Kansas City, MO.

I would Google "quilt shows in Kansas City, MO" and see what you come up with. That's what I did for my state and it worked.

Here's one:

http://www.sewingexpo.com/KansasCityMO.aspx
It's at the KCI Expo Center and is coming up in October.

Northland Needlers Quilt Guild is having a quilt show this coming weekend at the Salvation Army on Oak Traffic Way in Gladstone, MO.

The big machine quilting show, MQS, is in Overland Park, KS in the spring.

That should get you started. And, if you go into any of the local LQS's, they usually have some information on upcoming quilt shows too.

Have fun and welcome to Kansas City!

Should be lots of state or county fairs going on about this time of year and many of them have quilt shows. Check out those alternatives on the web!

I get the Country Register at my LQS and it has shows, shops, etc across the Missouri area.

This is another great tip. I wanted to know where the Quilt Guilds were in OK so I just Googled OK Quilt Guilds. That way I was able to find many that were within a 2 hour drive from me. Since I am also less than 2 hours from the Kansas border, I Googled those also.

Many of the Guilds announce on their websites when they are having showings, meetings and demonstrations. Also contact info.

This link is for Kansas. Scroll to the right for Kansas City.
