    Hello,
I am going to the Mid Atlantic Quilt Festival in 2 weeks. This is my second show. I have been looking for layer cakes, charms and jelly rolls to purchase. I was wondering would I get a better deal if I purchased at the show?
    I appreciate all responses.
    Thanks,
    :D

No, especially not the first day. It just depends. I got a good deal on a machine at one, a special for the show. They will have a much wider variety of "stuff" from fabric to tools and a lot of demos to help you with different techniques. Enjoy it! Where is it in the mid-Atlantic? Delaware?

Most large quilts prohibit deep discounts to protect all vendors. You will see variety and may find a good price but don't count on it not even the last day,.

i'm going, too. there's another show in somerset, new jersey the first week of march. i think the 3rd (?). it's a mancuso show.
i'll be at that one also, on saturday and sunday. i believe that krabadan will also be at the somerset one on sunday. we met up last year.

i wonder how many people there'll be this year. last year there were already fewer people than usual at both shows.

last year there were venders selling fats for 99 cents each, including batiks.

one batik pattern, at least 12 of them, 99 cents each. that makes it $4 per yard.

i found seven sets of at least 12 like that. every set different. you have to be willing to root around in a box for them.
