Size of baby quilt
I will be going to a baby shower (it's a girl) and wanted to make a baby quilt. What size is a baby quilt? Thanks in advance.

I make mine about 40"x60". By keeping the width of the quilt under 42", I can use just a single length of fabric for the backing.

I make them anywhere from 30X40 up to 45x50. If you want them to be able to use it longer, go with the bigger size. My son is 5 and still uses his baby quilts. Some of them barely cover him.

Anywhere from 36" square to 42x60 and any size in-between. I usually make them about 42x54.

I usually make them about 38x42. Seems a good size for a baby. With the price of fabric going up - they may become smaller.

I like prism's idea to keep them about 40" for 1 fabric width backing
