Im looking to made a "not too difficult" king size quilt for my bed.
    Would 90x110 be king size???
Im looking at the keepsake quilting catalog and it gives their kits by dimension-not bed size.

    Any thoughts?

    thanks!

Kimmie, I would go with 110x110 as I did with mine. I don't like them skimpy :)

90x108 is the size of batting for a queen size quilt. I would probably do 110x110. The bigger the better, IMO. But I make "lap quilts" big enough to fit a double bed and am making a king for my queen! My husband and I are both blanket hogs. We sleep with separate blankets for now, until I have made the king for our bed. I'm hoping it will be big enough that we can share. :D

Kimmie, in that case you may want to go even bigger. I love my King size bed but it's such a pain to make !! lol
But it's so worth it for the sleep I get.

got a card in the mail that states king is 100x92. If you have a king size bed you can measure it, I'd do that or measure a top sheet.

According to the batting I use king is 122"x122". Super queen is 93"x121". Queen is 93"x108".

For a Cal King I make 120x120. I would not go smaller then 110x110 for a King.

As for pattern I buy extra and make an extra row and add a alrger border. You can also pick some cute block and make that big enough.
