king size "size" question

[quote=Annaquilts]For a Cal King I make 120x120. I would not go smaller then 110x110 for a King.
I agree...with that said you might want to measure your bed and decide on how long of a drape you want on your bed as we all may prefer a different look... do you want to also use it to cover your pillows like a bedspread (which would add to your length) or do you plan on using pillow covers? All of this factors into the size you would make.....

As for pattern I buy extra and make an extra row and add a alrger border. You can also pick some cute block and make that big enough.

The current king top I finished is 108x96. I put the top on my bed, thinking I might want to add a border, but it seems big enough as it comes down to my side rails and hides the mattress/boxspring. 110" tall would be too big for me. I don't like the pillow fold look-I don't think it fits for a contemporary look, and then it has to be stuffed either too much at the bottom (which is sometimes hard to fit in the bed) or folded too much at the top.
