Thanks ! My Grandfather quilted along side my Grandmother ( our wedding quilt was had done by both) and my husband's grandfather did the same.. his own quilts are of rough fabrics and with pride, my husband has this carefully stored. Will not have it out since it is so fragil now.

I love it! I think it's great for men to be quilting! My husband is a talented craftsperson, but not that interested in doing quilting himself! I'm breaking him in easy, asking him to do some rotary cutting for me! I'm really happy with all the hardware assistance he has given in my quilt studio!

My father quilted right along with my mother. He didn't piece but he did like to hand quilt.

Yes, there are many many men who quilt. The recently published book written by Joe Cunningham list several. Title is "Men and the Art of Quiltmaking". We have web sites, all male quilter's retreats and many special exhibits around the country of male quilter's work. A gallery near Houston Texas is mounting an exhibit of male quilting work during Quilt Festival this fall. We do round robins, fabric and block exchanges and teach. And there are many men quilters on this Board

I love seeing men who quilt. I wish more did. I am trying to get my youngest son interested.

My 6 yr old DGS wants to quilt like Grandma! He is slowly learning with me and hopefully he will continue with it as he gets older.
