quilting TV shows

As for F & P, now that it should be renamed Fons & Fons (daughter Mary and not Liz Porter) I won't watch it anymore. I got tired of hearing her interrupt her mother and then start going "uh, uh, uh". As far as I am concerned they can take it off the air. I didn't realize how much L.P. contributed until I saw the newer series without her. It certainly isn't the quality show it was prior to Liz's retirement.
I'm with you!! I watched a couple of the new ones and was totally turned off. Mary seems to be mugging for the camera constantly. I sure miss Liz...the show just isn't the same and I don't bother watching anymore.
I agree. It used to be my favorite quilting show when Liz was still on it but its unwatchable now. I realize the daughter is a newbie to quilting and TV but I don't think she or her mother have enough personality to carry the show alone. And the daughter has done a couple shows alone, even worse. She's just not ready.

I surely do miss Simply Quilts. There were times I would like to have put my hand on Alex's mouth so her guests could talk and not be interrupted so much. That being said, I really learned a lot from the variety of guests she had on the show. I learned better techniques, use of colors, and tools. Yes, I miss Simply Quilts.

Sorry to sound like a teacher (but I was!) and old habits die hard! 'fun' is listed in The Oxford dictionary as a noun(naming word) and sometimes as a verb (doing word) as in 'joke'. However I agree with you, we have do have fun on this site!BUT when people or person un-named refer to 'fun' quilts I cringe! Sorry for the rant! Also I WAS a Kindergaten teacher, but never did I disrespect the intelligence of my pupils to talk down to them. Children understand 'normal' speech and are very adept at seeing straight through you! There is no need for pretence, this over enthusiasm is not needed!
