Have been trying to reduce the number of UFO'S I have hanging in a closet, plan to continue into the New Year.
Note to pyffer3, that is a wonderful thought you have but sad to say these items seem to disappear into other folks rooms/or employees cars to take home. My DH spent some time this year in a care center and it was sad to see items disappear so quickly after they were donated.

My goal is to significantly pare down my fleece stash, which I prep for groups doing blankets for Project Linus. It simply takes up too much space. If I just work with what I get in and get it out quickly, then there won't be a build up, and I can find space here for FABRIC. It is not that I need more fabric, I just need to find the space for what I have. Ha!

I think that it a great plan, but I agree that you should check with the facility first for their ok. I just donated a lap quilt (wheelchair user size) to a care facility just around the corner from me. I saw some of the residents in the common room when I was in the reception area and thought it would be nice if one of them received my quilt. The woman who accepted my quilt was very nice and said that she would indeed pass the quilt along. After I left I realized that she may or may not, but as long as someone keeps it and uses it, it really doesn't matter exactly who does get it :-)

I know a woman who did that. she's a special lady and good friend. she contributes to a home where her dad is. Family members are always in the home, and apparently, this is honest run place she makes afghans and quilts for everyone there.

you are very ambitious!! but it will be appreciated very much Last year I promised I would complete 1 quilt for Quilts for Kids each month. I accomplished that - yay! So I am setting the same goal for myself for 2016. I also have decided that I am going to do my first double wedding ring quilt.. this is a big undertaking for me. I am nervous but I will power through so I can give it to my nephew for a wedding gift in July
