Jerrie, the jean rag quilt I did was camoflage flannel on back and jean
on front, its heavy enough with nothing in between. Did 9 inch squares
and sewed an x thru each one.

Ruth, Flying V, made a very nice jean quilt, but I can't remember if it was a rag or not, I think it wasn't.

I have made several rag quilts. In most of them I used cotton on front and back and flannel in the middle. I used a 7 in sq. and about a 3/4 in. seam. I did not sew the x in the middle and they all came out great. Here is a pic of one of the ones done with cotton.
