I went to our quilt show yesterday in West Bend and got the Deb Tucker ruler and 2 patters for the Hunters Star. I just did some cuts and it is actually as easy as it looks. I am very excited to put 4 squares together to see how they turn out. Pictures to follow. . . . :)

In the mean time - lets see some of yours!

I've been thinking of buying this. I'm hope there is a demo booth using this ruler at Paducah quilt show and I can buy it there. I love Hunter's Star block and always paper pieced it.

I just finished a king top using the ruler. It was very labor intensive, but came out well. I have yet to quilt it, but will post pictures after. I did a scrappy blue/green/beige one, with about 50 fabrics.

I'll say labor intensive. The trimming is what is killing me! Was it worth it?

Here it is! All in all the cutting is pretty more difficult than I thought it would be. But - I do have to say once you get the pieces cut the blocks go together pretty quick. I am happy with how it turned out but not completly happy with the color choices. Close but not quite the contrast I want.

    My first Hunter star block.

I received the ruler for Christmas....just getting started on making the blocks. I will post this weekend after I get a chance to sew, my machine has been in the "spa" getting the works done.
