I thought I had bought my sewing machine to make quilts. But, as time goes on others seem to think my machine is good for other uses. Today Tawny came to me with the saddest looking eyes and just stared at me while I sewed away on a quilt I was working on. I finally gave in and tried to figure out what she wanted. I sent in the living room and immediately saw the problem. Her beloved bunny bear was laying on the floor with all of the stuffing outside of its head. So I got to work. I performed surgery and fixed her beloved toy. She was much happier when I was done. She couldn't wait to get it back. So, I guess the reason I paid so much money for my sewing machine is actually to fix the dog toys!

    Mommy, I need help!

In my case the sad sack is my husband. He is always bringing me something he needs fixed. He is short with a pot belly. I have to hem all of his pants and have been known to mend his pockets and even the seams of his winter gloves. I also had to make him a facemask so that he could ride is Harley to work in cold weather. I think the reason he married me is because I was able to do all of his mending when we were dating.
The worst job I had was repairing the canvas curtins for my step son's boat. I also made him cloth bags for the traps he uses to catch bait to use in his crabbing business.
AFter all sewing machines are not meant for quilting alone.

I need to learn how to hem pants. I am short and have a hard time finding pants that aren't too long.

I don't know. The first thing she does with all of her stuffed animals is chew the eyes out. I think it's because they are hard plastic.
