    Default Buying Fabric from Amazon?

Has anyone ever bought fabric from Amazon? I do a free point earning site that I can earn e-dollars to shop online for free. I've never bought fabric online anywhere but online quilt shops. If anyone has bought fabric from Amazon was it good/bad/indiffferent?

I bought some a charm pack that was supposed to have no repeats but instead was two of each fabric. I pointed that out to the seller and they refunded my money and let me keep the pack. I also bought another piece, a panel, and it turned out to be much smaller than I thought, but it was my mistake (it was available from more than one seller and I didn't realize that their piece was smaller than the others I saw). They let me return it for a refund, but I had to pay shipping to return (not much). I bought some yardage once and everything was fine!

Amazon is the middle man. It pays to research the product and manufacturer/seller. I love their customer service. i use them frequently, and for any disappointing purchase, they have made things right with their end of the deal.

Fabric.com sells thru amazon also. Sometimes it is cheaper on amazon than it is thru fabric.coms website

I have bought specific out of print material from vendor partners through Amazon. Never had any issues.

Thank you all. I appreciate your input. Although it is 'free' money I'm using I want to make sure I'm not wasting it.

    Thanks again!

Recently, I bought some fabric from Amazon as that was the only place I could find the particular fabric I needed. I was extremely pleased with the service.

I have purchased specific fabric on Amazon and on Ebay - no problems whatsoever. I will look up the "seller" on Amazon (and eBay for that matter) because often they will have the item cheaper on their own website. This is a habit I've gotten into doing on ANYTHING (like airlines & cruises)!

If you look you can find the quilt shop the fabric is coming from. I do buy some fabric on line through amazon as it is quick and easy with next day delivEry if you really want to pay. I always look at postage as petrol cost going to a shop.
I have never purchased enough for a quilt.

As yet haven't bought fabric, but wouldn't hesitate to do so. Buy a lot of used quilting books at the site and usually are 1/2 of other listings. So far, I have never been disappointed.
