Whilst visiting my family my nephew who is 9 years came up to me and told me all about the trouble he has with his Mum who insists the quilt I gave her for her 40th is his because it doesn't have her name on!! I did point out that it has her birthday date on - so he asked very nicely if I could make one just for him with aeroplanes on prefereably with blue and black and a bit longer than his Mums as his feet stick out!! he is a very tall boy for his age - how could I refuse so fabric is ordered -
Has anyone else had such a lovely request?

Kids are so wonderfully sweet. That's a request that no one could refuse. Very similar to GGDs saying, "Grandma, can you make me a blanket in sparkly pink?" and the other twin saying, "I want mine in purple Dora." I couldn't refuse either. I think part of it is their undying faith that we can do anything!

A quilt that is started with Love! Just add a little more and you have a boy with a happy heart too!

I loved reading your post after having read the other ones about quilts/gifts made for people who didn't like or appreciate them!

What a charming request. Makes up for all the nasty people who don't want "home made things".
