Heading to Chicago later this afternoon for a weekend visit with my daughter and family. There will be a shopping excursion tomorrow and am wanting to visit the LQS to peruse their fabrics....LOL! DD lives in Grays Lake (northern edge of Chicago)....who knows of a LQS that is a must see?

I love Chicago. My DDIL is from Chicago, so I have visited the city often. It is wonderful near Christmas. Have a good time and enjoy the shops. Traffic is lousy though.

Quilter's Heaven in Northbrook, IL, take Dundee Road west from 94, left on 1239 Shermer Rd, it'll be on the left, sign very easy to miss. It's an old house. Google often misdirects you, dunno why. Quilter's Destination in Arlington Heights. BEST STAFF-both places, say "hi" for me :) Linda Z's in Arlington Heights is a huge sewing machine dealer, new and used, also has a lot of quilting fabric, but not purely an LQS.

Fabrics2Etc in Bensenville IL is west of Chicago. HUGE, tons of fabrics, notions, thread, machines. They have a deal right now on Bernina 350PEs used in a class.
