QuiltnNan, This is the one (Jinny Beyer)I always wanted to make. Then I found the one by Johhn Buren. Loved it and bought the pattern, but there has been a few problems along the way, He has been so good to e-mail the changes in the pattern to me, so I have just been waiting to start the rolling star 2. But will do it soon.

Yes, I made this one over 20 years ago. I used solid colours, hand pieced and hand quilted it. It turned out pretty striking. This was before i discovered rotary cutters. I got the pattern out of a magazine. Unfortunately, I can't remember which magazine. I was going through some old magazines a couple of days ago, and found it again. I am planning on making another one for myself this time.

Jinny Beyer sells the pattern on her website. She calls it Stained Glass Star.

It was also published in McCalls Quilting magazine, October 1999 issue.
I made one in 2008 using orange, blue, purple and red. I rotary cut the the pieces and hand pieced them and hand quilted.
