free pattern for 15" doll clothes
#1
Can anyone tell me of a web site for free patterns for doll clothes.....I got spoiled with all of the free patterns for quilts one obtained by being a member of the Quilting Board.
I Googled my above title and only got shopping results no free patterns were found.
I need this ASAP, .....I know I can make a dress but I would prefer a real pattern to use as this is for a charity auction and I would like it to be as professional as possible.
I will deeply appreciate any help someone can provide....Thanking you in advance...hugs SG

You don't say if it's a fashion doll or a baby doll but I found these two sites. These are for sewing, seems to be ton of free patters for crochet.

If you are reasonably good at drawing, you can graph down
adult or child sized clothing. I love making Victorian dolls and the
Gody Lady clothing. It has huge sleeves and bustle, that made a woman look like she had the rear end of a horse following her real close, but all in all, it was a very feminine style.
Even easier, if you have an adult pattern, cut it into pieces and number the adjoining pieces, then copy them at increasingly smaller numbers till you get about the size you want. A tiny bit of gathering in the waistline, sleeve tops, and even on the shoulder seam and neckline will make them a tad smaller and add a touch of style to them.

There seems to be a lot of free patterns for 18" dolls, you could always print out one of those and then reduce it to fit your doll. I have a doll that's an unusual size and had great success using that technique.

Another idea would be to make a rather simple dress---and then go crazy with laces, ruffles, applique, etc....add a tiny shawl and purse....Or make a mini quilt and simple--but of course embellished--nightgown. (It you could get hold of the doll you might trace around her clothes....
