If you are reasonably good at drawing, you can graph down
adult or child sized clothing. I love making Victorian dolls and the
Gody Lady clothing. It has huge sleeves and bustle, that made a woman look like she had the rear end of a horse following her real close, but all in all, it was a very feminine style.

Even easier, if you have an adult pattern, cut it into pieces and number the adjoining pieces, then copy them at increasingly smaller numbers till you get about the size you want. A tiny bit of gathering in the waistline, sleeve tops, and even on the shoulder seam and neckline will make them a tad smaller and add a touch of style to them.
