Finally my centers for both the first group and second group are finished. They are scrappy and I am soooo excited. I wanted something homey for my living room and these should do it!

I wanted to say that I am enjoying watching this thread. Plese post more pictures as the quilts progress. It is very interesting to see. If I was a little more skilled and could afford the fabric I would consider joining a round robin. It is hard for me to commit to things like this when I work a different shift everyweek and only get every third weekend off. I hope everyone has a great time in the round robin. Maybe in a year or two I can join one.
All the centers look beautiful!!

First of all, EVERYONE'S centers look unbelievable! Such variety! That is what I LOVE about doing this.....we are all going to stretch our skills and imagination. Really makes you come out of your box. Great job everyone....I'm in both groups so, I can not wait to work on all of them! Lucky me.
Second, sewhappy I picked out the fabrics for your border at the Quilt Shop on Saturday. I am so excited to work on it this week. I am trying out a new border idea. I took a picture of the shop and stapled a business card to your journal along with notes about choosing the fabrics. I will add more notes as I sew it on. And as a bonus....the author of the French Braid book, Jane Hardy Miller, is a friend of mine and she helped me choose your fabrics! That is too cool ( at least I thought). She will probably help me choose everyone else's as well. Yea!
I will post pics of Sewhappy's center before and after my border this week!
Have fun ladies!
