I recently saw a unique sashing technique that looked like lots of ragged scraps sewn together and used as a trim/sashing on a bulls eye quilt and it was spectacular. Does anyone know how to do this? I would love to know as I am making a Bulls eye Halloween quilt without using Halloween patterned fabric, only the colors usually associated with Halloween. Can someone please help me? Thank you, Margolane

My first quilt was Bulls Eye. I did not have pattern, saw it in a quilt shop and had to try it.
Decide haw many squares you will neen dor quilt. Then cut that many squares. I Use a 12 1/2" or 13" square for base. I cut circles 8", 6" and 4" Stacked 3 circles, starting with 8 on botton then 6" nest 4" Stitched thur all 3 circles onto 12" square. Stitch 4" first ,then 6' last 8" stitched about 1/2" from edge of circle.
After you have all sewing complete, take 4 quarters and sew them back together creating a new square. You will lot of color in each block. I used different fabric with lots of colors, prints dots strips whatever you like.
I hope this will get you started. Let me know how I can help you more.

Thank you very much. I am making a Halloween quilt using only the colors and not any fabric with a Halloween design on it. Margolane
