Wanted to send privately as I saw your post. The thread was from '08.

To send a private message, go to the top and click on private messages. Like email, type in who you want to send it to using the posters name, fill in the subject line, type the message and hit send.

When you receive a reply to that either click the link from your email notification or come here to the board and click private messages to read the message.

Hope this isn't confusing how I tried to explain it.

If you want to send a PM then click on the persons name in blue, like yours on the left, and a page will come up to type your message in.

    Good Luck!!

Since shipping can be expensive it would be helpful to know who will pay shipping. I've already been in contact with Linda in Michigan.

Question about Christmas Stockings for the Military. What fabric are you making these from. Tell me more about this project.

Also I believe I read that someone can use narrow strips of batting. Will you contact me and give me details. I need to get this box of such out of my house.

    Hi Holice:
To answer your question about what is used to make the Christmas Socks for soldiers...our group has made and donated probably close to 700 socks. We've made them out of denim with the cuff in bright reds or Christmas fabric; Christmas fabric socks; fleece and flannel, cotton, just about anything you want to make the socks out of. There is a thread on the board that is named Socks for Soldiers under the BOM thread that has pictures, pattern and where to send them or take them. Good luck.
