Have any of you done this? I had never thought of it before but someone mentioned it to me today and I think that it's a great idea. I am going to try it when I am ready to bind the quilt I am working on now.

I have a friend who does her's that way. I've never tried it because I feel I can get more information about the quilt on a label. Her's looks very nice on the binding, though, and she feels it's less obtrusive.

When I make rag quilts, I always embroider my name and the date close to a seam. It doesn't show that much, yet I've labeled the quilt. It doesn't show allot on the back.

I've done several different fonts, different colors and different sizes depending on the quilt.
