please --names of glue that washes out --?what is schools glue--i got some school glue in aussie and a trial was a desaster dyes ran+glue stayed wet after ironing

here school is glue is just Elmers Glue,its a brand name that everyone recognizes as glue kids need for school,plain white glue
by the way I very seldom pin.I have used glue sticks when applying pictures or appliques before sewing them down

I wondered the same thing.I can usually get a couple points to match, but when I have rows of points,I use a glue stick.

You're putting glue in the quarter inch seam, not where you sew....if that makes sense.You sew under the glue spot & it works good. Another thing to try is making sure seams are pressed in diff directions, so they nest together better. When matching rows, I glue,sew maybe 5 stitches ,check it, then do same to next intersection etc.When all is matched,I sew the whole long seam.

OK I've done that gluing in the seam allowance and my seams still didn't match up. I know that people do sew through it because I know it's used for bindings and put on at the edge (in the videos). But I can't get myself to try it.

I always use a very thin line of Elmers School Glue on all my bindings and to miter my borders. After applying the thin line of glue, I heat set with a dry iron. Then I sew, and wash when completed. No problem at all. Also use glue sticks for machine embroidery applique. Never a problem there either.

I don't pin much anymore. Only when crucial points and there is a lot.

If you use double sided fusible batting you don't have to pin your sandwich before quilting. It stays in place; of course one begins quilting in the middle and works outwards. When I use regular batting I do pin. Depends on what I'm putting together, but I do like the fusible stuff.

Same here....if I am putting a long row together that has lots of seams I will pin, otherwise, I nestle and that works out pretty well for me.
