Default We can all relate to this!!

My daughter drove me to a Dr. appt on Tuesday--it's custom that these trips every three months include visits to some of the Thrift Stores in that town. I knew I was in trouble when I was looking at material hanging on a rack when I heard from about three aisles over my daughter calling her best friend of 30 yrs......she was saying, oh, my gosh Shelley, mom is at it again and we are going to have to stage an intervention before she becomes a hoarder of flannel material!!! I told her, "go for it, I am having a blast!" And, boy did I!! I left with almost 40 large pieces of new flannel--a couple were big enough for twin backings! But, the best find--a ziplock filled with 300 pre-cut vintage cotton 8" squares for $2.99. ALL, for a little less than $50.

I would have joined right in with you - no intervention required! Sound like a wonderful day for all and congrats on the score!

At times like that ... remind her that you're creating her inheritance!

I bet you've made your daughter a quilt or two. If not, do so. That should help her enjoy your passion for fabric.

Make her a quilt from your "finds". Then she might have second thoughts about her intervention!
