Cameras?
I'm in search of anew camera...and I want to know what others are using to take pictures of their quilts. I need a camera that will take pictures so I can post them on my blog. What's everyone using. Any special features I should be looking for. Although the camera phone is ok...I feel it does not do any of my quilts justice.

I have a simple Cannon I bought on clearance in Target. I photograph my quilts with it and I really like the end result. It has settings for indoors which is what I use for quilts on shows and at home. The photographs are clear and fabric colors come through the way they should. I think I paid about $90 for it. Good luck!

I have a Nikon S570 that I love has many features and is small
enough to fit in your purse or pocket.
I also have a Nikon D70 and my dh has a D500. Both are awesome cameras
but for me they are just to "big" and bulky for the quick snap of a project I
am working on or just finished. They only come out when I am in need of the
big "guns" for excellent photos.

I have a Nikon D60. I really like it. I can take pics without flash in indoor and low light situations which can be really helpful. However, it is bulky and heavy to take with me when I go to quilt shows. My husband had a Coolpix which I'm thinking of using for Quilt Fest next year. It has many of the features of my D60 but is small and takes really great pics.

So do I. Also, my iPad. Everytime you get an upgrade, it's like getting a newer camera.

I have a Canon Xsi DSLR. I really don't use it much anymore-just for my kids' annual pics and for taking pictures of projects. It's also nice for taking places where lighting isn't that great, since I have a good fast lens for it.
It's a lot easier to use my little lumix or my phone these days.

I have a Canon Elph that I like a lot (battery holds a charge a long time and the pictures are pretty good). I do have to re-size my photos (can't figure out how to set it on the camera) everytime I download, but it only takes a few extra minutes to do.
