I love have a couple of pieces of vintage shot cotton....love the visual interest it can bring.

Anytime I see shot cottons I have to grin--those of us born in late 40's-early 50's probably remember our Moms making shorts, skirts and tops for us from them--and dresses for themselves. Very popular at that time. Think I had some green/black shorts and a green/black/white plaid top that went with them. Know my Mom had this awesome dress that really did change color depending on how you view it--went from gray to an iridescent blue. Can picture her in it getting ready to go to bridge club in it.

I agree with Sandygirl---The Pepper Cory Shot Cottons by Studio E are lovely. I'm doing English Paper Piecing with some of them now and they work up beautifully!
