    Default Simple embroidery software?

What software can you recommend for designing quilt labels? I have a Brother PE-770, and am looking to design and embroider a few simple quilt labels with some different fonts.

EQ Stitch, but it is an accessory program to EQ7 which you would need to have before it would work. It is semi automated which helps with the detailed learning curve. I have only had it a few weeks and can already do simple things and see that for the simple designs I want to create it will do everything that I desire it to do. EQ has great product support and there are online groups to learn how to use it also.

After looking at Eq stitch, decided it is a little to expensive just for a few quilt labels.

If you want embroidered labels, already created and free to use, --you can add your own info to these and make them personal. The format is for Viking, but can be converted to your machine's format with free conversion software.

your machine should already have the border designs..you could add a sm. emb. from your built in patterens and then use a permenate marker for the writing....I have 3 Brother machines and they are older than yours and they have that feature...I have 3 different software programs and they are really IMHO too expensive for just making labels....but if you get one you would find yourself venturing out to other projects you probably never thought of....have fun !!!

Those are exactly what I would like. I thought maybe there was a software I can use to embroider my name and date into. I think the letters on my machine are too big. If I buy a CD of small fonts on, Do I still need a program to add them inside the outline? I'm so clueless at this.
