I'll try to get pictures of how these attach in my cabinets.

The question is how does the knee lever attach to the bracket?

I have 2 different knee controls - I crawled down there and shot a couple pics. maybe you can get some idea from that. DH saw me down there and got a good laugh

this goes straight across the front - the L shape goes through a couple brackets and the knee control part is rivited on

older machine - the knee control is mounted on the front of the cabinet and the foot is on the side - I like this one a lot

The first picture looks like one of my knee control set-ups.

If this is the same as the one she has, then she'll probably have to get the lever riveted back on, won't she?

maybe a bolt and nut will hold it. Depends on how much it was damaged - it may have to get straightened out if it is bent.

The second one I showed has really nice action.

Well, we can just hope for the best case. :)

I don't think I've ever seen that second set-up you showed. What kind of cabinet is that in?

It is an antique Singer 66 cabinet. I LOVE the cabinet and the foot control. The cabinet is made of real wood. The newer (ha) cabinets were particle board with veneer. The newer controls aren't as well made. That one is smooth - very responsive. I like a good knee control. The old nerve ending in my toe are farther from my brain... ahem he he....
