I just purchased a CE 150 ... which I understand is the lower end, however it was $300 dollars off the price it normally costs.

I'm also told that the software that comes with the CE 250 will also work with the CE 150, however it costs $300 (I have no clue when, if ever, I'll be able to afford this software).

I have tried it out and played with it ... and so far I really like it (don't like the auto threader ... it isn't auto to me ... frustrated me to no end).

The lady at the store where I made my purchased it informed me she would show me how to do the embrodiery. She told me to first check out the machine, learn as much about it and play with it, and when I'm ready she will show me more about the machine.

I feel guilty for spending so much, but the hubby told me that he knew I needed a new one and that he had researched based on what I wanted, and this was the machine to get.

I traded a new machine for a cricut. I wanted to get a cricut...

Oh Lord what have I gotten into?

I have the CE-200 and love it but I have to admit it sits neglected quite often while I use my Elna. I bought mine mostly for embroidery but did piece a several quilts on it before I got the Elna. Never really got into the embroidery like I did the quilting but an embroidered Irish Chain is on my quilting list so I will be able to piece on the Elna while embroidering on the Singer.

I had a software conflict with mine when one of the Windows XP service packs came out and had to wait for Singer to fix it which they did and it all works great as long as I keep a Windows XP computer around anyway--LOL!

Did you figure out the auto threader? It took me a while to get how it worked but once I FINALLY got it I love it. Let me know maybe another dumb blond can explain it better than the book LOL

I did figure out the auto threader ... couldn't get it when hubby was reading the instructions, however when I read them, I was able to get it ... after that ... piece of cake ...

I really like it so far ... only concern is taking it to classes that I take at the LQS ...
