Singer Futura CE-250 breaking needles
Hi everyone.
I need your help please.
I know some of you on here have a singer Futura CE-250 Sewing/Embroidery machine, and I hope you can help.
I want to embroider some quilt blocks, but as soon as my machine starts to go, it takes a couple of stitches then breaks the needle.
I have changed the needle twice, and checked and it looks like the needle is aligned correctly, but it is still happening.
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
Thank you in advance.

I don't have that machine, however, if your quilt sandwich is too thick, the needle will be prevented from coming all the way out at the end of the stitch. When the hoop moves to make the next stitch, the needle is a bit flexed so it will hit the plate and break. What batting are you using?
The other thing to check is to make sure that you are using the correct brand needle for your machine and that it is inserted all the way into the shaft.

Paper Princess,
I am using warm and natural, and 100% cotton on both sides.
I have the singer needles, and I believe I have it inserted all the way, but I will check.
Thank you for your quick response.
