Aren't you supposed to pull the bobbin thread up from the bottom before beginning? That's what I've done it seems to help.

The salesperson finally got a hold of Singer and got me a new cd for my machine. And now it embroiders like a dream. It seems that the cd that came with the machine was bad. I am enjoying my machine finally and I have joined the Futura group. Thanks to all. pam

I had one...wanted it primarily for embroidery but for me it was just too many headaches. Upgraded to a Bernina 730 and gave it to one of my friends, and she likes it for sewing but hasn't tried embroidery.

I have a Singer Futura 250 and I absolutely Love it.. when I first got mine I was having trouble with needles breaking. I finally realized that I was putting the hoop on up-side-down.. Once I learned how to use it correctly I have no longer had any problems with it.

I have not had any problems with mine since the new cd was downloaded in my computer. I have even tried applique and love it.
