I heard they may be closing and having a going out of business sale. Anybody know anything? There isn't anything about it on their website.

Yes, they are closing after 30-odd years. So sad.

They are re-opening Thursday with an invitation only sale. Invitations were sent via email.

I have heard two new quilt shops are opening in the area, although I don't recall the details right now.

This is what I've heard about the new shops. One of the new quilt shops will be located at at 2500 E Orchard in Centennial. I talked to the owner of the shop and she said her shop will deal in fabrics from Kaffe Fassett and Amy Butler. It sounds like her stock will be bright, contemporary prints. But, for the life of me, I can't remember the name of the shop.
Also, Tomorrow's Heirlooms will be reopening under a new owner. Same location - 136th and I-25 across the parking lot from Lowe's. I think both shops are opening in the middle of March.

How sad. I hate the contemporary prints, so I won't be shopping at the one in Centennial. Bummer. I am really sad by this because GAQF is the closest LQS to me. I am definitely going to have to go there tomorrow after work. (I have an invite.) I really wanted to get a ruler they have for sale. Hopefully there are some left. If not, I am sure I can spend money there. :)

This is terrible. The GAQF was my favorite LQS when I lived in Denver, and I always make a point of going there when I visit.

The last time I visited I went to a cute LQS on Holly @ Countyline Rd. I think it was called Holly's Cabin. Not near as large as GAQF, but had a nice selection of fabrics, and lots of books.
