I made this quilt top and it is either too long or too narrow...would it be ok to have different size borders on the sides than on the top and bottom???? Like 4" borders on the sides and 2" borders on the top and bottom??? And, should they be these sizes, 1/2 of the other???
    Any suggestions would be welcome.

I have used different sized borders and they worked out just fine. Try it and see what you think

This is a super cute quilt. You've done a great job on it.

It would look fine that way. You could also make side borders that are similar to the three strips of fabric you used in between blocks. Your border would have three strips going vertical the length of the first row then horizontal then next row, then repeat the length of the quilt on both sides. Does that make sense.

just needs width ?? use the mix of your vertical strips going horizontal on both sides ??6 inches then encase the whole in a small border--the quilt +colours are great

I really like your quilt! However you decide to do the borders I think will be just fine.

Just remember it's your creation, and there are no quilt police here. I think it is adorable, and any way you want to add width will work just fine. Would adding another row of blocks make it too wide? I have done that.
