Has anyone ever used flannel prints and cotton prints together in a quilt top? Does it cause any problems? There is a chocolate chip cookie print that I have been eyeing, but the black version only comes in flannel... It's so cute!

as long as you wash and dry before using, since they shrink differently. I have done it, flannel and reg cotton material makes great lap quilts.

I second that --- wash and dry the flannel maybe a couple times to make sure it is all shrunk !

I've made a kagillion kids quilts for my favorite charity with cotton on one side and flannel on the other and have never had any problems. Go for it!

I made a king size in plaids with flannels and cottons mixed, pieced and appliqué and it's fine! It has a lovely, oldy worldy traditional feel to it. I agree to prewash everything though.

I agree. Wash both of them. I would wash the flannel twice. They would make a wonderful cuddly quilt. I can't wait to see it. Post pics when you are done.
