    Default Sooo close, and stuck!

I was so proud to finish the quilting on my first quilt on Saturday night, and was at my LQS bright-eyed and bushy-tailed Monday to pick out binding fabric....only to find that the shop is closed on Mondays. No big deal, except that my schedule this week is shot all to heck and I won't be able to get back to the shop until next week at the earliest, and then only if I can manage to drag all three of my kids along with me (Spring Break). My fingers are itching to finish this thing, and I don't have the materials!

(first world problems, I know. But I figure if anyone will understand it's y'all).

Guess I can start cutting fabric for the quilts I'll be making for my daughters next...

Dont' feel bad...happens to all of us! I have a baby quilt done..and I made binding out of leftovers. Can I FIND it? NOOOO..and so sits the baby quilt till I can FIND THE BLASTED BINDING. That was the last of the leftovers too...so, see? You are not alone!

I know just how you feel. I have two quilt tops (small ones) and am waiting til Hancock Fabrics solid fleece in on sale after Easter. They are for camping and I am backing them with fleece. I so want to finish them but saving almost $4 per yard is worth the wait.

It happens. I usually pick out my backing after my top is finished. When I don't find something that trips my trigger fancy, I get a not so wonderful opportunity to practice patience.

I always want to shop on a Monday after a weekend of sewing. Shops seem to find closing Monday the best solution for them. Ones anyone know why.

soccertxi I feel your pain in "misplacing" items. I play a great game of hide-n-seek with myself! Sometimes my games last a loonnnggg time!

I do have a question about your binding, I am using leftovers as well for a quilt and my question is, do I iron the seams open or do I alternate which way I iron them. just wondering and knew someone would know the answer
