Smile Looking for New Hampshire Quilter's

I've recently moved back to NH after a long time in the SW and would love to meet other quilter's in the Lakes region. I'm currently in the Bristol area but when my permanent senior housing apartment becomes available I may be in another town in the region. Currently my things are all in storage while I rent a furnished studio. Just meeting new quilter's and finding out about all the local haunts for great fabric and buys would also be appreciated. If you're out there I'd love to hear from you.

I posted a thread a few days ago but was unable to find it or any replies so I apologize if you responded and I didn't get back to you. I'm sure this time will do the trick.

    Happy Quilting Always,
    Andie/Desertrose

P.S. maybe it's time for a new user name too...LOL

Welcome Home! New Hampshire is well represented here on the board and we have quilt shops galore as you will soon discover. Here's a listing of many (not all) of the quilt guilds in the state http://www.nhsqa.org/NHGuilds.htm .

Some good shops near you are
Keepsake Quilting in Center Harbor http://www.keepsakequilting.com/default.aspx
The Quilting Corner in Tilton http://www.quiltingcornernh.com/index.html (Eileen is having a sale this weekend, so check that out if you can. She has a beautiful shop.)
The Quilted Frog in Laconia http://www.tqfnh.com/
Country Heart Quilters in Plymouth http://countryheartquilters.com/

That should get you started off in the right direction.

I moved from NH to delaware 6 years ago, there are alot of artisans in that state, enjoy your move back home. I miss it, but now is the time for us to be near family.

You have to take a trip over to Maine to visit a Marden's fabric department. I am making that a stop for our next trip,.

Greetings from Keene (SW corner of NH)
By me, the 2 best quilt shops in NH are Quilters Workshop in Newport on Main Street (Rte 10) and Quilted Threads in Henniker.

Quilters Workshop is having a huge Super Bowl sale this Saturday 2/4 (9 am opening) and Sunday, 2/5 (11 am opening)

Desert rose, you can change your name to Granite Rose. I'm from the southern part of New Hampshire.

Oh my goodness desertrose/Andie! I'm so glad to see you back on here. I've thought about you so many times since your last post from Arizona. I'm glad you have landed and are looking for quilt friends in your new setting.

Happy stitching! I don't have any suggestions for you as I am no where close to New Hampshire.
