I need help squaring up a quilt block; they need to be sized down and I am hesitant to make the first cut.

What size is it and do you have a sq ruler that size?

Take a look at any of the Eleanor Burns Quilt in a Day videos, she usually squares her blocks up and shows how she does it.

This is the one for her Jewel Box Quilt and I know she squares that one up. Either in this video or the next one. Plus she shows a really neat way to cut it out.

You'll need a 12 1/2 X 12 1/2 square up ruler.
When squaring up a block be sure to leave 1/4 inch seam.
It helps if the block sections are squared up as you piece the block. :thumbup:
