    the memory trouble you have may be related to low blood homocysteine, your doctor can test for this, if that is the problem it is a form of pernicious anemia remedied by oral B12, B6 and folic acid, in a specific higher than multivitamin dose. Your pharmacist can show you the right dose of the 3 supplements to try, and they will not be harmful so to save the cost of the lab test just try it for 6 weeks or so and see if it helps and yes, ginko biloba also is good to help if it is not the pernicious anemia induced short term memory loss syndrome :)
