Default storing embroidery thread spools

Can anyone tell me where to get those little net sleeves that go over the embroidery spools of thread? In lieu of that, does anyone have a suggestion as to how to keep the thread from unravelling?

I got mine from Nancy's Notions long ago. I am sure they still sell them.

I have used the nets but also Press and Seal works well also. The nets can be left on while you sew but the Press and Seal cannot.

Most spools have a split or movable piece on the bottom that can hold thread. OESD and Robison Anton have a bendable plate at the bottom of the small cones. Sulky, Madeira, have a small area between the top or bottom of the spool and the actual spool that will hold thread. If you have plain cones, the thread net or the wrap works, or you can get some scotch magic tape and tape the end to the underside of the spool.

I use either the gap in the top of the spool or clear plastic flexible tubing I purchased at the hardware store. I cut the tubing into 1" pieces, then cut a slit in the side. Because it's clear, I can tell at a glance what color the thread is. This is also what I use for bobbins, only I cut those 1/4" instead of 1" long.

I use those little ponytail holders from the dollar store. Works for bobbins too.

I bought embroidery thread plastic boxes at walmart several years ago. I have a whole collection of Isacord thread and about 9 boxes, sorted by numbers.
