Default Straight Stitch Plate?

It bothers me when my fabric gets pulled into the feed dogs so I am thinking about getting a straight stitch plate.

Do you use one?

Does it fix the problem?

Thanks!

It definitely solves the problem of punching the fabric down into the feed dogs....but.... don't try to move the needle but a tiny bit. Guess how I know that?

Remember to change the stitch plate to one with a wide hole when you want to zigzag...Guess how I know that?

The newer Vikings come with the straight stitch plate and the machine won't allow you to change the width so yes I love it. My old brain forgets sometimes and I need a machine that's smarter than me. I love the plate for triangles as well.

Absolutely, I love them. Have them for every machine.

Would love to have one, but they were not an option on my vintage Berninas. (I've looked numerous times).

Cheers, K
