I had gotten some straw/milliners needles to quilt my DJ with, and i have decided they are too thin for me, and the thicknesses i am going thru. i don't seem to be able to 'rock' well with them. i have a smaller, shorter needle i have laid my hands on the last couple days, and like it much better to hand quilt, and 'rock' with.

I don't use straw needles on quilts as I find them to thin. But, I have been using they for years on Applique and love then for that. Most of the better quilt shops carry straw needles.
