One of my first quilts was a string quilt. At the time I had not accumulated a stash so I had to go out and buy fabrics. Today I guess I'd be able to do it out of the strips stash and whatever has been set aside as scraps.

It was also the practice ground for FMQ stippling. By the time I finished the quilting, I had mastered that technique well enough to do it blindfolded.
