Default suggestions for using this fabric

I was thinking maybe a wall hanging but I am open to other options.
It will be a gift for a quilting buddy.
There is a yard of this fabric and I have co-ordinates in my stash.
I am looking for pattern ideas. Links to websites/photos are appreciated.
Thank you.

I think it would make a darling machine mat with pockets in the front for tools. It would also make a great machine cover but you would need to know the size and shape if her machine. As for a wall hanging, I saw a darling pieced one on Pinterest that had a thread spool, 2 thimbles and a button.

I think a simple sewing machine cover with the seams highlighted in a large-size (think clothesline) piping in bright, bright yellow would be striking and would give containment to this very busy, but lovely fabric.

i like the sewing machine cover idea, but if you are thinking wall hanging, i'd use this for wide borders

Shopping/tote bag, sewing room baskets, thread catcher, aprons, tool/project pouches, lots of options. Cute fabric

It would make a great border fabric! Find some coordinating colors and start making blocks of your choice (maybe use it in the center of those blocks like the center square of a star block for instance). It's really cute! Good luck and have fun.
