T shirt quilt help
I am going to try to make a t-shirt quilt and have a question about the stabilizer for the back. I went to Joanns but they had so many different kinds that I couldn't decide what was the best to use. Has anyone made a t-shirt and what did you find the best fusion material to use? Thanks!!

Pellon 906F is what I use. If they don't have it, use the lightest weight fusible you can find. Fuse it to the back of the part of the t-shirt that you want to use and than cut the t-shirt down to the size that you want.

I read where people use something called French Fuse interfacing but have not tried it yet. Does JoAnns have it? I don't know. I do know it is sold on ebay. But as Eisy said, just buy the lightest weight fusible you can find.

I, too, like the 906F. You will notice it has a little more stretch one way than the other. Tee shirts stretch width-wise more than length-wise. Try to put the stabilizer on so that it stretches opposite the tee shirt. (I hope that makes sense.)

I use fusible featherweight interfacing for my t-shirts. Make sure to wash the t-shirts to remove all fabric softener. Also, t-shirts and interfacing each stretch in one direction. Make sure the stretches go across each other before you attach them.
