    Default Taking blocks to classes,tips.

I find when I take blocks to a class they are beautiful when I pack up and all creased and a mess when I get there.

One friend always has perfect blocks. She wraps them in kitchen foil. They are perfect.

Another keeps hers in pizza box.

I starch but another one starches until like paper.

Why do mine crease?... Does anyone have anymore ideas to keep blocks perfect when travelling.

Yours are not the only ones to crease. Will be watching for the answer.

Michaels and JoAnns both sell plastic cases about the size of pizza boxes but twice as high that are very nice to store blocks in for travel. They are very economical, especially if you use a coupon.

i use pizza boxes too- i've purchased (unlabeled) boxes from a local pizza parlor, i cover them (decorate them) with fabric and have a varietyof sizes to fit many different block/projects- they stack neatly on my closet shelf and being (color coded) it's easy for me to pull out the one i want when i need it- works well for me since i seem to always have 6+ projects going at a time.

I also use pizza boxes I put masking tape with details of the contents of each box on the side - which comes away easily when finished

Will watch and see what everyone says. Have not taken any classes lately so mine stay ok here, but if I were I would roll them up, that is what I did for a quilt class I took a couple of years ago.

I'm not sure how large your blocks are, but I like to hang my bigger blocks if I'm not assembling right away.

I use the plastic cases. They keep everything nice and straight. I do a BOM every year and my stuff for that fits perfectly in the box. I bought mine at my LQS and it was about $14.

I also use the plastic acid free boxes - I put in all the fabric, instructions and specialty tools needed for that project so I don't have to go looking for everything. I have 12-15 of these boxes with projects in various stages. I love the organization!
