Default Tea cup pincushion came home!

This morning I was getting ready to go to with DH to a flea market about an hour and half away. I picked up a bag of knitting and there was the pincushion in the bottom of the bag under some baby caps. I had decided that it had run away for ever but it came home. I had had a make-up quilting class on Thursday afternoon after my knitting class on Thursday morning. I had put the pincushion in the knitting bag when I took it from the car. I just didn't remember that I had taken it on Thursday! I would have found it next week when I got ready for the knitting class. Being an obsessive compulsive personality, I can't just ride in a car. I have to do something with my hands. The blue cup normally sits on my desk by my bed. The gold/white cup stays on the cutting table, and the pink on lives by the sewing machine.

You have some beautiful cups. Did you make the pincusions? I would love to make one or two out of some cups that belonged to my Mom. What do you stuff them with and what do you use to stick them into the cups? Do you glue the cups to the saucers? I guess I need a tutorial on this. Anyway, I'm so glad to hear that you found it.

really like your teacup pin cushions. I went to a quilt show last weekend where one of the booths was selling old salt cellar pin cushions. I like your idea better ... I won't lose the pin cushion on my sewing desk! I've found lots of teacups and saucers at thrift stores and garage sales at a real reasonable price, but it's usually feast (lots of variety) or famine (none can be found).

I had a girlfriend make me one several years ago. I was wondering where i was going to put it because i didn't want to risk breaking it downstairs in my sewing room. It sits on my dresser w/ some pins, needles, and safety pins. Perfect place!

I was getting ready to make one of these gorgeous pincushions, but the darn cup has made in Occupied Japan on the bottom! Guess I'd better check it out first.
