Actually, "pounce" is a misnomer. You sort of rub it across the stencil. It works nicely for marking stencils. They make the powder so that it goes away when you iron it. If you use stencils, I think you'll like it.

Does the "pounce" work with any stencils, or do you have to purchase special ones to use it with? I have a small collection of stencils and I am hoping that you can use it with any kind.

I have the regular plastic stencils, too. You just rub across the stencil, when the stencil is removed all you see is the pattern. Run an iron over it when your done stitching and the powder disappears.
