? For those that save the selvage edge
I am thinking of saving some to make a couple of pincushions. Just wondering how wide do you cut them off to save them?
Thanks!

I usually add 1 1/2" at the most. Most times 1".

Enough to show some of the fabric + 1/4"
I've seen a lot of finished projects with only the selvedge showing, good for small things, boring for big things.

I usually include 1/2 to 1 inch of the actual fabric. That plus the selvage seems wide enough to use.
