Thrift Store Fabric?
This morning, I purchased 3 great dust ruffles at Good Will for $1.99 each.
Washed and cut this one up (still need to cut hem) for 600" x 8" fabric. Which is about 120 5x5" Charms or 120 hexes, or 40 2.5x45 strips (one Jelly Roll). Not bad for $1.99.

This one was much smaller. 160x11 but I love the colors.

Does anyone else use vintage sheets or thrift store for fabric to machine quilt?

Sure - I just bought a set of sheets that looked brand new for $5.00 that were 100% cotton at a yard sale last week.
I try to find the tag that states what the fiber content is. Some of the fabrics in bed skirts are nicer than others.
I also undo the hems before washing the fabric, too. That also makes a little more fabric available. It's a good project to do while watching TV.

I love thrift store fabric!
Someone around here donated hundreds of yards of fabric. I picked up several pieces that were 5 & 8 yards long to use as backings; the thrift shop was selling most of it at about 50c per yard. A lot of it was knit so I couldn't use it but I got some nice stuff!

I like trolling through the thrift store here every once in a while. I've scored some cool buttons, worn jeans, and a few funky jackets that I've turned into bags. I've also chopped up sweaters to use the knit fabric for clothes for my granddaughter's Barbie.
My favorite is scoring the buttons, though.
