I was also going to say feedsacks. That's a wonderful find, a few years ago I belonged to a feedsack group. They were VERY collectible. If you know of a seller of vintage linens you could ask her/him for an opinion.

Some look older than others to me.....for instance, the navy blue with white stars and some pattern in red is current - within the past decade - and I think it was a Moda. Some of the others are somewhat familiar as 1930s reproductions; others are totally unfamiliar and do not appear to be "quilting" cottons.
I'm thinking these were made by someone who used whatever fabric scraps she had collected over the years or that people gave her; probably made several to many years ago.

I saw a quilt that was like a white wholecloth with yo-yos over the center. It reminded me of a Boston Gardens quilt.
This one is really close to the one I saw: http://sunshinescreations.vintagethr...ch/label/yo-yo Go to the 4/10/10 blog date.

I agree. Those look like the coarse feedsacks from the 30's. (There were also feedsacks which weren't coarse weaves back then, too.) Overall, I'd say you have fabrics from the 1930's. Congratulations on a great find. So glad they found an appreciative home. Now you need to make something with them, lol!
