My daughter brought me some tie dyed fabric that her friend made. She wants a quilt for the friend. I want to use it to its best advantage and I have not come up with an idea that I really like. HELP!!!!!!!

My daughter brought me some tie dyed fabric that her friend made. She wants a quilt for the friend. I want to use it to its best advantage and I have not come up with an idea that I really like. HELP!!!!!!!
I don't have any ideas for it, but I would certainly recommend pre-washing it or at least checking it for bleeding before using it.
Have fun -- this will be a creative project!

i would make a modern-ish quilt by cutting the blocks off-center on the tie-dye pattern.

Look at patterns that use larger pieces of batiks for inspiration. Sorry can't be more helpful than that.
If it's very lively, maybe just cut it into squares with black sashing to make the colors pop?
how about a Ricky Tims' Convergence quilt? He recommends using hand-dyed and tie=dyed fabric for this pattern. It is also relatively easy and quick to go together.
What about the 10 minute block? Would that work?
